Recently the term photojournalism has become vogue in wedding photography. For most it is simply a catch phrase. I have worked as a photojournalist for more than 10 years and hold a degree in Photojournalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. I have been fortunate to travel around the world on high profile assignments, which included Washington politics, nearly every professional and college sport, as well as celebrity portraiture. My photos have appeared in many major newspapers in the country as well as top magazines including Time, US News and World Report, and Sports Illustrated to name a few. A few years ago a good friend asked me to photograph his wedding, which I did. Over the course of that day I realized that all of the real moments and real emotions that I have always strived to document in every assignment, occur at every wedding. With more than a decade of experience as a photojournalist, I approach each wedding that I shoot as a photo essay, in that my goal is to create beautiful images that tell the story of your wedding. Rather than orchestrating your day, I let you live it and I quietly document your real moments, real emotions as you live them. At the end of your wedding you will have a set of images that tells your story, not a cookie cutter group of photos. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and we look forward to talking to and working with you.
